Here are some photos I took Wednesday, August 22, 2001 at the annual appreciation cruise at Haugen’s Chicken & Ribs Barbecue, in Manchester, Ontario (Near Port Perry).

The turnout was fantastic with over 1,200 cars entering the show. I got there real early and still ended up in the outskirts!.

This 58 Ford caught my eye right away... a real looker.

A neat and rare 51 Ford 2 door hardtop.

This customized Chevy looks to be about a 1954.

A 60 Pontiac convertible... you don't see many 60's left anywhere.

Now here is a cool Pontiac sedan delivery.... a 53 maybe?

A super looking Buick 2 door hardtop! A 1950 with it's distinctive grill.

.I am not sure what this is...but it is very cool.

A big Merc wagon, 58 I think

An unmistakable 59 Caddy, I doubt that this was the factory colour scheme.

A Nomad! 56 Chev.

Another great Buick... 1951 maybe?

A super looking miniature.

This is the kind of coupe look everyone wants!

What a great looking Dodge wagon... 59 I think.

I forget what this is... likely a Buick... 1938 or so.

A cool 61 Bubble-top.

Another 59 Caddy.... a 2 door car with an acre and a half of sheet metal!

Everyone's favorite, an early 50's Mercury 2 door!

I think this is a late 30's Chevy...

This one looks lie a mid 30's Ford.

a Chevy 2 door sedan, 1950 I think.

This Chevy van is about a 1968... I had one for years and sold to someone who used it for a chicken coop.

I stood and snapped a bunch of cars as they drove in... this one is a Ford Coupe, 48 or so.

A great looking Chevy sedan... 47 maybe?

A nice looking 53 Chev.

Another sharp looking coupe.

What a great looking Mercury! (Or maybe Monarch?) A 1948 I think.

I think this straight looking Oldsmobile is a 49.

Now there is a sharp looking roadster.. I have no idea what it is.

A 57 Pontiac 2 door hardtop!

A sweet looking T-Bird... 55 Maybe?

This was Chevrolet's answer to the VW Beetle. A Corvair, with a rear air-cooled engine.

This Buick was absolutely immaculate. A 52 maybe?

There were more mint looking hot rods than you could shake a stick at.

A super old Caddy... 52 I think.

I am such a sucker for these cars... I will buy one someday.

Here comes Ron Oakley in his super 51 Chev Torpedo back.... I hitched a ride to the back 40 with him.

He has owned this car for 24 years.

There he goes on the way home much later... he's yellin something at me...

Another great looking coupe... this one looks like a Chev or Pontiac..

Isn't this a pretty little car, 53 (I think) Chev.

This was the first day this Henry J had run in over 20 years. The owner, Eric Thomas, had only recently purchased it, and just had time to make it road worthy by showtime! I will try to take another picture of it at next year's show.

These Oldsmobiles were built like tanks! This one is a 57... I think.

A suicide door Mercury, just restored and for sale.

Another monster Oldsmobile, this one is a 58, I think.

You don't seem many Plymouth Furys from this vintage....

It looked all original and in good shape... a 61 or 62 I think.

A nice old Chevy, 47 or so.

The old late 40's Mercs are always a favorite with me.

A 40 Ford... a very popular collector year.

The distinctive lines on these early 50's Pontiacs are timeless.

There sure was a whole pile of people at this show!

Another great little roadster.

As nice as could be. A 56 Ford Crown Vic I think.

Another Corvair.

A 60 Chevy... a bubble top sort of.

We were ready for anything.

A great looking 55 or 56 Ford.

A Ford pumpkin pick up.

If anyone knows anything more about any of these cars, drop me a line and I will add the info to the page.
