The turnout was fantastic with about 1000 cars entering the show. The gates were closed around 6:30, and a great many cars were turned away as the place was full.
I went with a friend of mine and we fell over ourselves trying to figure out what to look at first. There seemed to be 2 or 3 of everything, we were like two kids in a candy store.
We arrived about 5:30 and were directed to the overflow cornfield. This absolutely mint Road Runner pulled in behind us. |

Another mint Chevrolet... I don't think this is the original colour! |

I just received an Email from the owner of this car (October 17, 2000) . It is a 1938 McLaughlin Buick Special built right in Oshawa, Ontario by General Motors. It has been in the man's wife's family since new, and he is now the third owner. His wife's great uncle bought it new and kept it for thirty five years! It looks like it just rolled out of the plant today! |

This Buick was absolutely immaculate. A 52 maybe? |
Just about perfect, inside and out. |

A giant Oldsmobile. 1960 maybe? Or 59.... |
![]() |
This Oldsmobile couldn't have been much better. A 51 or so... |
If they built a new car with these lines, I am sure it would sell at least as well as the PT cruiser! |

One of my very favorite cars... a 53 Cadillac. |
It was the styling of these early 50's Caddys that defined the look for Cadillacs for decades. |

This one had what appeared to be original paint, and a mint interior! |
This pickup was just about perfect as well. There wasn't the slightest flaw in the paint. |
