Here are some photos I took Wednesday, August 16, 2000 at a huge Burlington, Ontario cruise night.

I had heard about this cruise from many people, but never went before as it is an hour's drive from where I am, in the worst rush hour traffic in Canada (perhaps in North America).

I had been warned that if you didn't arrive before 6 PM you wouldn't likely get in, so I closed up early and battled my way there by 5:30. Sure enough the place was full by 6! Musta been 400 or more cars there, and there was hardly a rat in the bunch. I think it was as impressive a showing of collector cars as you will find anywhere.

A 59 Pontiac wagon! I hadn't seen one of these in 25 years.

The obligatory pair of T-Birds. They musta sold them in pairs, everywhere I go there are two sittin side by side! This was a particularly good set!

An immaculate Chevrolet pickup.

About a 53 or so I think.

The quality of cars at this show was amazing

This 51 Mercury was a head turner.

Complete with a continental wheel.

This is either a early 40's Ford or Willys (I have a hard time telling them apart), with a zillion dollar paint job.

This Caddy was gorgeous! You see it and you want it.

It was immaculate, inside and out.

A 1951.

A really nice Porsche 356.

This one is a "Super 90"

A trio of early 50's Beetles!

A really nice old Desoto.
I got a message January 10, 2008 from William Mcchesney of Charlottesville, Virginia telling me this is a 1949 model.

Thanks Bill!

I have a soft spot for 50's Cadillacs, and this one is for sale!

I took the number but I am afraid to call......

I am not sure what this was...looks like a 33 or 34 Ford there were so many great cars at this show I had no hope of keeping them all straight.

A blue Beetle with a blue motor!

Another really super Caddy.

A VERY sharp 55 Mercury. The owner told me that the lower licence plate was on the car when it was new! The first owner musta stood in line at the licence office a long time to get that one!

After you look at this engine room for a while, you have a better understanding of what tikitiboo means.

They don't come any nicer.

Another either a Ford or a Willys. Itza 40 anyway, according to the licence plate.

Another nice Beetle.

A 58? Caddy. A very sharp land yacht.

This is a.. a ... uh.... a Messerschmitt!

Here is the other end. I think it had an altimeter.

I sounded like a single cylinder air-cooled motor..... only three wheels!

A nice old 58 Ford.

A Lincoln Zephyr, a Quadra-Door that looked mint.

A great looking Pontiac... 55 I think.

Yet another Ford or Willys..... I think they are 40 Fords.....

Here is a very nice pair of Hot Rods, BUT, Martha Stewart would never let them park next to each other!

A studebaker, Golden Hawk I think.

A super clean 30's Ford.

Another Pontiac, this one is a sedan.

Get a load of the lines on this Lincoln Zephyr.

The business end.

This body work was perfect. Or original? Super straight anyway.

This 55 Chev has a fabulous paint job.

This is a very original looking 54 Pontiac.

Another one where I don't have a clue what it was...

A great looking little mini.

This Buick (47 maybe?) was absolutely stunning!

It took forever to get this picture with no-one standing in front of it.

The lines are fantastic, and the condition flawless!

I'll bet Buick never painted one this colour.... but it suits it perfectly!

The interior looked perfect.

Uh.... a Dodge maybe?

A fabulous Ford coupe, 46 or so...

Nicely done, and very well painted.

I think this is a 39 Ford.

A 59 Cadillac. With 200 mile an hour fins.

A nice 51 Ford.

You don't see that name on the back of very many pickups!

The other end.

Don't those new Ontario licence plates reflect the flash! That is why they gave the photo-radar so much trouble.

If anyone knows anything more about any of these cars, drop me a line and I will add the info to the page.
